"I'd say that my goal musically from the start was to write something technical while still flowing and being catchy. I don't know exactly where the idea got derailed, whether it was by the conditions in which we were writing or what but slowly over time as any young band or any band in general does, we started writing each new song a little better and more musically respectable. With the current state of aggressive music focusing on which band is the craziest or who can fuse hardcore with death metal the best, I think it could be very discouraging for a lot of these new groups who don't necessarily want to jump on the bandwagon. As much repect and admiration as I have for some of those chaotic bands, thats not the type of music that I want to write. Music goes through a lot of phases and there will never be anything to stop that, but good music will never go out of style so until the day I pass on I'd like to write music I like and hope that others enjoy it ."
