Hailing from the small city of Santa Fe Springs, the young men in Salimus are bringing their high energy and raw emotion to a stage near you. newly reformed in July of 2008, with an average age of 22. Salimus are five guys who share one objective and one dream: to create a new chapter of heavy music and share it with the masses through hard work, determination and consistency. Salimus crafts their unique style of music by piecing together all genres of metal and creating their own unorthodox style. With technical riffs reminiscent of Lamb of God, the brutality of Chimaira, and the emotional assault of Slipknot. Salimus is sure to make the fists fly and the pits spin.
Throughout the summer of 2004, Salimus persevered through countless hours of rehearsal time in preparation for live performances. By September of 2004, Salimus headlined the Whisky A-Go-Go in Hollywood, and within a span of two months the band also headlined the Allen Theatre and sold-out the Chain Reaction in Orange County. In January 2010, Salimus went into the studio, and recorded a three track Ep. The new recorded material is just a small glimpse into the World of Salimus.
In order to achieve catharsis; one must go through the tedious process of shedding dead skin to become reborn. Heavy music is in the state of catharsis because it is forever changing, and the rebirth of Heavy Music is the creation of Salimus.-2010
