About Me

I will not talk about myself in the 3rd dimension anymore. I am a songwriter - and have been since I can remember. Music has been an important part of my existence. Unfortunately when I was learning to play I had some pretty crappy teachers (my piano teacher use to tug my hair in time with the music - instead of using a metronome) so I never attached myself to really learning to play. I sang in the choir since further back than I can remember - my sisters 4 sisters and I use to make up warped harmonies - we always made up songs. I started taking myself seriously as a songwriter in my teens - and moved to LA after dropping out of college to get famous. I had a blast - hanging out - but did not do anything serious until 10 years later. I have been writing every since.Usually I work with performers or musicans and keep myself safely tucked in the background. I have worked with Musicians in NYC - New England and Nashville. I have spent a lot of time learning my craft - and then trying to forget it.In 2006 I took the RPM Challenge - to write and record 10 songs in the month of February. It kicked my ass - and introduced me face to face to everything I feared about myself as not only a writer - but as a solo writer and performer. It changed everything. Now I still prefer to co-write and do not have any grand plans on becoming a performer - but I do have stronger and louder opinnions.I worked with Peter Black in 2006 on a project called the Black Cats - and am currently in a new configuration called Neurottica. We are doing the challenge again this year -Enjoy!
