Ex-Cathedra raise in September 2002 for the needs of the members to travel in an authentical, untraditional melodic metal, and gather a full gamma of ideas supported on the musical influences that characterize each one of the members of the band.
Ex-Cathedra have had several important participants in the band, yet, with the current line up, the band continues and achieves a better concept, with the excellent support obtained from the public in the metal scene. As a result, Ex-Cathedra keeps creating a raw but not limited Death Melodic Metal.
During this time, the realize gigs in several cities all around Mexico, like Monterrey, Saltillo, Monclova, Matehuala, Mexico City, Guadalajara, and more other smaller, but not less important cities. Sharing the stage with important bands like Eon, Darkness of Blood, Endless Grief, Malevolge, Stentor, Spectral Agony, Aglarond, Anton, Argos, Sarcoma, Umbrae, Disrgoge (USA) among many others.
During June 2004 Ex-Cathedra participates in a regional contest in which obtains the first place, that later on, will become the first demo record.
In the middle of august 2004 Ex-Cathedra gets into of the independent Studio, (Chile Records) to record the demo Mise n’ Scene, demo integrated for 6 themes, recorded in English, and one theme in Italian.
In October 2004, Ex-Cathedra gives an excellent concert presenting the demo Mise n’ Scene with the support of great bands like Deadly Dark, The Furense, among others. (Thanks a lot btw).
After a while, the band record and re-mastered three songs of this demo (Fake Messiah, Kill Myself and Walkiria), in Dark Light Studios, obtaining a full Metal Quality.
As of today, the band keeps having concerts around Mexico, getting new songs about to be recorded, trying to establish its peculiar kind of metal, and bleeding to death, in order to become one of the best bands of melodic Death Metal in and outside of Mexico.
