About Me

Let's take it back to the era of ole school hip-hop, graffitti , breaking, and djing. The birth of the B-boy movment. 1982 to be exact. That's when childhood homies Capitol B and Ignite first met. Ignite had arrived from his grammas house in Los Angeles to permanately stay in a bay area city called Santa Rosa. Capitol B and Ignite where dedicated b-boys doin everything from Djing to dancin and finally emceeing. Capitol B was a dancer for 2-pac during his Strictly Dope run and got gamed up on the behind the scenes of the game. meanwhile back at the crib Ignite was locked in his bedroom scratching and makin beats on his 808.By 1992 Ignite founded Santa Rosa's first rap label. Crack or Jack. A group called "Tha Funxsouljaz" which consisted of Original Emcee Mr Phlex, Dj Co-V-CO (Covan Vanhook) , Dj 2nv, Capitol B and Ignite. They had a study underground following. Tha Funxsouljaz where featured on numerous Comps. Including Billboard Charting Dog Days "Million Dollar Dream" and "18 Wit A Bullet" which gave birth to Ignite's latin street anthem "Mi Gente" In 1995 Ignite had some set backs along with Mr. Phlex. Some legal and health problems arose and Tha Funxsouljaz decided to take a break.Since then and through all this Ignite and Capitol B decided to keep on going and start a movement of music where Blacks and Mexicans can be as one. This gave Birth to "Blaxicans" They had gottin so much slack for kickin it with each other from both their cultures that they used it as their weopon . In 1998 bay area platinum producer K-Lou (Ken Franklin) gave them the opportunity to work in his studio. They have been husltin and strugglin to bring their words to the barrios and ghettos ever since. They will never stop for this is their calling their healing and their only way they know. After so many years and trials and tribulations the Blaxicans intent to touch your heart and souls with their words. "We are the spoke persons of our streets. we wanna let them out there know we feelin what they feel and saw what they see so we can all get through it together" Ignite expressing himslef on what their purpose is. Like Capitol B said "We still have un said words that we need to deliver for the ones that ain't here no more. Their is a peace of all our fallen soldiers in every livin soldier. that's why we do this."Come take a ride through the minds of two of the most humble and down to earth emcees. Capitol B and Ignite, as they take you on an epic journey through the realities and struggles of every day ghetto and barrio life. The Blaxicans give you "RAIN"I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
