Reading. Author's that I am drawn to are Sidney Shelton and Danille Steel. I enjoy spending time with my family. Doing projects with my husband. Going to Disney World. Racing.....one of the first times I saw my husband we were street racing. Who knew...life is funny! Have any of you been to the Desota Speedway to watch the Bus Races - that is a true family event and a got to see!
Music:
Easy listening, country, contemporary, soft rock & roll. Basically I like all types of music with the exception of RAP and what I would call hard rock and roll which my husband and son love. Our daughter loves country music. My husband loves music and knows a lot about it. He has instilled the love of music into our children.
Movies:
Notebook...this is what true love is. All couples should watch it. Harry Potter, Star Wars and Twister. Twister has become a tradition for us to watch during a big storm and most recently when we had all those hurricanes last year. Sweet Home Alabama. Catch Me If You Can, Two Weeks Notice, I love all of Sandra Bullocks movies, The Fifth Element, The Family Man, Saving Private Ryan, Cellular, 13 going on 30, Matrix is another really good one along with XMen. Lets not forget Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park. As you can see our movie choices are very diverse.
Television:
HOUSE ....that is a show we try not to miss. Everything about this show is great. Survivor is another good one and lets not forget the Apprentice...
Books:
I have read so many books and many good ones. Unfortunately, I recently gave all of them to the Goodwill Book Store and don't have them available to list the names or the authors. I'll have to think about this one a little longer.
Heroes:
Lets begin with my children. You may find it odd that I say my children but this is why.Jarrett and Savannah survived and made it through their teen years without any real problems. With the society we are living in today this is a real accomplishment in my eyes. There is so much peer pressure and so many different types of influences {I am referring to the bad ones} in todays world. I thank God frequently that my son got through his teen years in one piece, graduated from highschool, spent 8 years in the military {joining at 17 yrs old} and has never been in any real trouble. That our daughter also survived her teen years, graduated from highschool and again has never been in any real trouble. If you know Jarrett and Savannah you know they had a full childhood and have many good memories. They are both very strong willed and are leaders, not followers. They know who they are and that they are loved very much by their parents and their family.Special note to Jarrett and Savannah: We know you weren't angels. Your Mom and Dad knew that you liked a good party as much as they did. The point is that during that good time you applied some good sense and of course the fact that you didn't get caught could of also been just sheer luck! LOL, there is nothing wrong with luck :)
