About Me

Dave Briggs, known as "Shades" to his buddies at UWM and "Crooked Blue Shades" on Myspace and youtube (CrkdBluShds), has been playing trumpet since 3rd grade, percussion since 5th grade, flugelhorn since 10th grade, and singing solo since 6th grade.

A senior at Pius XI High School, Dave has played trumpet with different jazz ensembles, an orchestra, two wind bands, and a couple of jazz combos. He has played percussion in the pit for the musical "Song of Mark" at St. Mary of the Falls and trumpet in the marching band for "High School Musical" at Pius XI High School.
