In 1990 , three neighborhood kids started a band. Marek, Reed & Gavin were just playing covers when Reed & Gavin's MOM (an AWESOME person) sound proofed the infamous garage for us .Shortly after that Will joined the band for a while & played bass at our 1st show at St. Anthony's . Later that year Tito joined the band , he was singing & playing bass (Reed was the 1st singer).Will went on to play in a metal band called Undertaker & NJHC band called Money Grip . TORMENT played many shows with bands like:
Life of Agony , N.J.Bloodline ,The Human Offense , Strength 691, Type o negative , Breakdown, Nuclear Assault , Leeway , Pro-Pain , Trouble , Face Value and other locals. We recorded one demo in Strength 691's basement studio , were all the terror in the basement shows took place . In 1994, Gavin left & later went on to play in a hardrock/metal band called Noble Rot . Ray (R.I.P.) took over on drums for a little under a year & then later left to play for N.J. Bloodline.We still wanted to play music but Torment had run it's course & was put to rest in 1995.I just thought i would put it out there , because of the good times & memories.
