First of all, music is for your ears...I don't like music videos. But other than that I like to LISTEN to everything in moderation! Especially songs with a good beat, and anything I know the words to and can sing and dance to. According to Tim, My taste in music is too commercial and lacking, but whatev. I'm not really into the soulful, whiny stuff he likes (i.e. Common, Alicia Keys, etc.) though I greatly admire his passion for it and the way he defends it so adamantly. I have a great appreciation for musicians as artists...those who actually conceive and create their own original material and aren't just puppets for the music industry...who continually spoon-feed society cookie-cutter canned music. There is a difference between art and entertainment...a perfect ratio of the two = great music. I also really like it when you meet people promoting their bands and they give you a free demo CD...I think its really awesome when people are out there really doing it...chasing their dreams. For Tim! I'll miss you terribly when you go away, but I'll be here in my Western Carolina #32 jersey cheering you on every step of the way! I'm so proud of you for working so hard and never letting anyone deter you from following your heart and making your dreams come true! I am so proud of you! Your accomplishments truley are amazing and I love you so much!
I admit it...I'm guilty! I just love chick flicks! Faves include: "Mean Girls", "Center Stage", "Legally Blonde", "13 Going on 30", "Remember the Titans", "Bring it On", "The Devil Wears Prada", "Titanic", "Romeo and Juliet" (with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes), "The Nutcracker" (With Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland), Charlie Brown Christmas and Thanksgiving, "The Trouble with Angels", "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", Napoleon Dynamite", "Meet the Robinsons"
Don't watch it enough to follow any really good story lines. You know, the kind you have to tune in for every week to find out what happened to whoever. That's too much commitment for me. But when I can sqeeze it in, I usually start at VH1 and go down! Faves include: What Not to Wear, Friends, Seinfeld, Girls Next Door, Disney Channel Movies, Hannah Montana, Degrassi, Instant Star, cheer and dance competitions on ESPN, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the old TGIF line-up.
"To Kill a Mocking Bird" is a really good book. I've read it so many times. The South Beach Diet Book, "The Devil Wears Prada", "The Art of Acting", "The A-List", "Dancing On My Grave", Anything Dr. Suess ever wrote, Does Cosmopolitan magazine count? p.s. I always think you should read the book before you see the cinematic interpretation cuz the book is always better than the movie! Besides, grown-ups sometimes forget to use their imaginations.
I thought I had some, but I've been disappointed alot lately. I'm still searching for someone I find deserving of "hero" status.
