About Me

Just a kid at the tender age of 15 years old when he was first exposed to what is now his favorite genre of music. It all started in the late great Twilo in the heart of Chelsea in NYC. After witnessing acts such as Sasha & Digweed, Chris Fortier, Paul Van Dyk, etc., Twilo, as both a word and a club, will forever be embedded in Rory's mind and heart since the minute his footsteps entered the legendary megaclub. Having older brothers that kept him up to date with the scene, Rory seemed a little under the weather during 1st period in high school. Curiosity & determination are two factors that forced him to pursue DJing, and the inevitable production process, which ultimately provoked his hidden talent to emerge. With a certificate from the Institute of Audio Research in Audio Recording and Production, he is able to add his own beautifully crafted tracks to his already uplifting mixes. RoryJames has spun throughout the NY Metropolitan Area at venues such as The Soundfactory, Club Shelter, Duvet, Via, Happy Valley, Gypsy Tea, and Metropolis in Queens. You can find some of Rory's mixes floating around on www.DI.fm and www.orbitalgrooves.com. His production work was recently picked up by the up & coming trance star Tom Colontonio, and DJ Manolo under the Philadelphia based trance label 'Metallic Recordings with three tunes signed already. He is hoping to expand his Djing and production perimeter in the near future, and network with the right groups of people who will realize that he is not just another 'techno' guy...
