The Texas Girls; it's obvious where they are from and when you see them, it is obvious where their heart is.....passionately for the Lord. Whether you love the tight harmony of Southern Gospel, the showmanship of Branson, Missouri, the flying fury of Bluegrass, or the sweet sounds of Praise & Worship it will all be bundled together when you see The Texas Girls. They are seasoned performers while having a crisp impact on today's sound. Their blend of influences is revealed in a unique way without being obscure, their calling is true and their testimony is empowered. "Watching The Texas Girls is like seeing Ricky Skaggs, the Judds and a Seinfeld episode all in one." Greg Clark Music As co-founder of The Texas Girls, Shana reveals a part of her testimony through an occasional bilingual song. As a teenager, Shana served with her parents on the mission field in Guatemala, Central America and in the U.S. She provides sweet mandolin rhythms and beautiful harmonies, while trading off lead vocals. Songwriting is not an easy task for the most seasoned professional but with Shirley it's like breathing. Shirley gained recognition as a solo artist and teamed up with Shana and Carla to form the present day The Texas Girls. In addition to her being a songsmith, she provides powerful and moving lead vocals while playing acoustic guitar. Don't let the high-class look and smooth alto vocals fool you into thinking that Carla is boring. Just because she plays an upright acoustic Bass does not mean this entertainer will stay in one space. Carla also has a heart for people that the Lord forged from missionary work in Central America with her daughter Shana.
