Ambition Free is a five-piece melodic indie rock band from Westchester, New York. Formed in the Fall of 2000, AF played as a four-piece until 2003 when they decided to bring in a keyboard player. The solidified lineup is as follows:
Noah Kardos-Fein - Vocals/Guitar
Steve D'Onofrio - Guitar/Vocals
Jim Cobb - Piano/Moog/Organ/Vocals
Greg Tumbarello - Bass
Bill Howard - Drums
Ambition Free has played countless shows in the New York Tri-State area over the last four years, sharing the stage with Outsmarting Simon, Ignite, Bigwig, Madcap, The Matchbook Romance, Count the Stars, Breaking Pangaea, The Exit, Coheed and Cambria, The Reunion Show, The Stryder, Copeland, Bear Vs. Shark, and many others.
Over the summer of 2004, the band spent 80 hours recording an eight track album at Nada Recording Studios in New Windsor, NY, with producer John Naclerio (The Ataris, My Chemical Romance, Senses Fail, Steel Train, Midtown, The Matchbook Romance, etc...). They mastered the songs with Alan Douches at West West Side Music (Aerosmith, Yes, Ben Folds Five, Hot Rod Circuit, Alkaline Trio, etc...) in Tenafly, NJ.
The entire production of their record was self-financed.
They are now looking for ways to print, press, and distribute the album. These five fine fellows are looking for touring opportunites and love to meet new people, so drop them a line.
