Texas Filmmakers

Want to make movies? We can help!!

About Me

Texas Filmmakers was created in February of 2004 to meet the needs of the growing film and video community in Denton, TX. In the city of Denton alone, there are thousands of people interested in various aspects of film and video production; whether its camera work, set design, choreography, costume design, sound design, etc.
Texas Filmmakers hopes to build a network of like-minded individuals in the Denton and surrounding areas in order to provide a means of networking among the local community.
Texas Filmmakers is a 501(c)(3), public charity changing the face of the Denton film community. Our goal is to help facilitate all local production throughout the production process.
Texas Filmmakers is dedicated to supporting the local film and video community by providing access to education, experience, equipment, and exhibition.
Please visit our website and become a member. It's free to join and totally worth your time. Once you are a member and on our database you are ready to begin working on films. It's as easy as a click of a mouse and you could be working on one. So check us out at: www.texasfilmmakers.org

FilmNET - FilmNET allows members to search for other members to work on their productions. You can search by job title, equipment owned, city, and name. (i.e. Search for Director of Photography and find a member that owns an XL1s.) To join, click Register on our website.

Post-Production Equipment - At the Texas Filmmakers Corporation office are two non-linear video editing workstations. These are available to be used free of charge by all registered members. See Editing Bays for more info.

Independent Film Screenings - Every other Wednesday night, Texas Filmmakers screens independent films by local artists at the Fry Street Theater. Texas Filmmakers also sponsors travelling film festivals and other screening events. Check the Calendar for more details.

Scholarships - At the end of every fall semester, Texas Filmmakers awards a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving film student.

Misc. Online Resources - Via this website we offer hundreds of film links in dozens of categories; over 125 production forms which can be viewed, saved, or printed; reviews of the films screened by Texas Filmmakers.

Misc. In-House Resources - Texas Filmmakers has subscribed to many major industry magazines and purchased many books on various production topics. All are available for reading at the office. The office is also a community building. It can be used for production meetings, auditions, and more. Please contact us to schedule such an event.
