J.K. Rowling
Anything but Opera.....parents used to wake me up on Saturday mornings by blasting it through out the house. Still can't hear Madame Butterfly without wanting to climb the walls!
Other than that genre, I love and appreciate it all. My favorite band for the last six years or so has been Train. Love them boys! The best group of artists I've been fortunate enough to see live. Planning on attending at least three of their performances this spring.....numbers 8, 9 & 10....won't be the last ones either!
My favorite movie is probably "Thing Called Love"...reminds me of days gone by ~ ha ha! I have tons of DVDs and use them for their noise value....but I can always get into a sappy chick flick!
I don't watch much TV, it's mostly on for background noise when the stereo's not on. But I guess if I am watching, it's American Idol. I try to remember to watch Desperate Housewives & Brothers and Sisters but I haven't been doing too well in that area. Other than that, a little Law & Order with the occasional CSI mixed in.
Okay....don't wrinkle your nose, but I L-O-V-E Harry Potter! Can't wait for the last one. (Got the 7th book the night it came out ~ the best of the seven by far!) Other than those, I guess James Patterson with a cheesy love story thrown in when I'm really bored. I guess I'm pretty simple and superficial in my literary palet. I don't want to ponder the meaning of life or wonder what it's all about. ;)

My husband of 17 years (so far) Joe, is my hero. He's easily the most amazing man I've ever met! I admire the man he's made of himself...never expecting or asking for help or handout. He's where he is from intelligence, hard work and determination...an excellent role model for our children, a fabulous Daddy and a dependable, affectionate partner. The hand I know will be there to take mine. Caring, giving, loving and tender...but don't tell him you know. hee hee He takes my breath and fills me with pride. My husband is my hero.
My parents are my heroes. They not only allowed me to be my own person, they encouraged me to do so. They live their lives not caring whose watching but knowing people are. Their example taught me that good deeds are only good when done with the heart...with no audience required. They are selfless and sacrificing; always there to help without request. My Dad instilled his passion for music within me...even naming me after his favorite jazz deejay in Detroit. My Mom taught me that it's a lot easier to pass on kindness rather then judgement. My parents are my heroes.
