About Me

Click here to get this skin for your profile!I'M MOVING TO ITALY!!!!! I'll be working and living in Treviglio, Italy for the next year and will be leaving as soon as I get my visa. Treviglio is in Northern Italy, about 30 minutes from Milan. I really hope that some of my friends will visit me at some point over the next year. I really want to see a lot of Europe on my time off, but I don't want to do it alone!

My Interests

I go through phases where I draw or read constantly. I like to go to concerts. I loved my Ipod that recently passed away (sad, I know! I'm devastated!) but I still have my Mac G4 Ibook. Yeah, I'm a Mac snob.Sometimes I get sucked into CSPAN. I'll watch just about any show on HGTV. I like to play games with my younger sister, like Music Scene It and Clue.Even though I'm 26 I still shop mostly at Abercrombie. I work at Starbucks so I'm caffinated most of the time. I enjoy a good extra rare steak. I prefer to drink red wine or bourbon.Things I hate besides Bill O'Reilly: Sheryl Crow(not so much now that she has breast cancer). Oysters. Mushrooms.Poverty.That show on MTV with the 16th birthday parties for those brats.

I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama, Will Ferrel, James Carville, Ben Harper, Dave Matthews, John Stewart, Oprah, Larry David, Jeremy Piven, John Cusack, Zach Braff, Kurt Vonnegut, & Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah

I just saw THE best movie. It's a Norwegian movie called "Elling." I t was so great. My favorites would have to be: Say Anything, High Fidelity, Gross Point Blank(anything with John Cusack),Hotel Rwanda,Amelie, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, Spinal Tap, Chocolat, The Notebook, Crash, Adaptation, Garden State, Planes,Trains and Automobiles, Saved,The Godfather 1 & 2, Goodfellas, Brokeback Mountain, V for Vendetta, Goodnight and Good Luck, Memoirs of a Geisha, Sideways, The War Room, Thank You for Smoking, Everything Is Illuminated, The Family Stone, Little Miss Sunshine, and The Last Kiss I have three new favorites "The Boys of Baraka", "Born Into Brothels", and "Emmanuel's Gift".

Also, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report! And why do they put Hardball, Meet the Press, and This Week with George Stephonpolous all on at the same time on Sunday mornings? Books:

I LOVE everything by DAVID SEDARIS! Freakanomics, Pride and Prejudice, Siddartha, The Great Gatsby, anything by Chuck Palahniuk, The Conscience of a Liberal by the late Senator Paul Wellstone. I just finished Kurt Vonnegut's "Welcome to the Monkey House". Right now I'm working "Love In the Time of Cholera" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, "Lost In the Cosmos" by Walker Percy, and "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro. I've been going to Barnes and Noble and reading every book on Italy I can get my hands on. Did you know that in Italy it was legal until 1981 for a man to kill his wife if she cheated on him and not get in any trouble? If a man cheated on his wife though, it was a sign of his manhood!!!!!

Also, Lisa Ling and George Clooney and other people like them that are really trying to make a difference in places like Sudan. Devon and Montrey from the documentary The Boys of Baraka. Those two have more heart than anyone I know. Emmanuel from the documentary Emmanuel's Gift.

Come on John Kerry! Geez!

Everyone knows about John Kerry's "botched joke" by now. He made it sound as though anyone that is in the military is there because they're dumb. Of course the Republican spin machine is eating it up....
