About Me

I'm still in nursing and still not happy with it. I've grown too accustomed to a certain way of living, so can't do the starving artist thing. I continue to have that dream of being a writer someday and try to work on writing whenever my schedule allows it.Life continues to get more interesting, as I delve into the depths of that amazing city called Asheville. Have been spending more time there, as I'm dating a guy there. Have been house-hunting and looking at possibly moving to West Asheville, which I think has a great vibe.I love music and couldn't imagine life without it. If I don't have music on, it's playing in my head. There's never much quiet time in my head. If it's not music running through my brain, it's continued thoughts and possible story ideas. I've been known to jump out of bed and start writing. My thoughts are typically best at night, when I am relaxed.I'm looking forward to seeing where life takes me this year. It's been quite interesting so far and I have much hope for the future. ......

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Death of a Friend

Sometimes it's the quiet ones who affect us the most. They slip into our lives noiselessly and it may take some time before we realize just how valuable a friend they are. If we're not careful, they c...

Windows

While walking my dog last night, I suddenly realized why I love the movie "Rear Window," besides the fact that Jimmy Stewart is in it. As the last remnants of daylight slipped away, lights began to ap...

A Night on the Psych Ward

He speaks mostly in Spanish. Stephano. His English is broken. I wonder if it would make any sense, if he could speak it well, as he is demented. I catch enough words to know that he is afraid fo...

Random Thoughts

Sometimes I feel that the world has forgotten me, tucked away in this sleepy little town, where the traffic lights blink after midnight. I long for the energy of the city, such as I feel in downtown A...

We must not forget the most innocent of the hurricane victims....the animals. They have been displaced from their homes and torn from the lives of the humans who loved them. There are over 10,000 pet...
