About Me

I am a homemaker, wife and mom to two grown sons. My oldest son and his wife live in Las Vegas and my youngest son lives in Atlanta Georgia. Don't get to see them as much as I would like so I really hate the distance between us. I have two grandsons Jakob who is 10 and Nicholas who is 8 yrs old and a great daughter-in-laws named Heather and Pam. Step-mom to a son. I am also a step-mother to a son and step-grandma to 3 and Step-great-gramdma to 7 little guys and galsWe are eagerly anticipating a new grandchild who is expected to arrive in January 2008. Hoping for a granddaughter but will be happy with a boy too, Hmmm maybe one of each. Now wouldn't that be nice. Well I can dream can't I?

My Interests

I love to read alot of different styles and authors. I do like janet Evanovich, Catherine Anderson and Nora Roberts. I collect porcelain and other type eggs. I also collect small bears and baby dolls. I used to be a packrat but am slowly getting out of that a little at a time. I guess it is a combination of hating to dust and running out of room to put things

I'd like to meet:

I just want to find some friends who enjoy life. I consider myself to be an optomist and prefer to be around happy people. Life is what you make it and sometimes you can't change what has been dealt to you but why dwell upon things you can't change? I am not a crafty person so I am not into crafts and arts but love to see what other people who were born with the talents where it comes to quilt making or even just running stitches on a sewing machine.

Music:

I love Country/western and the oldies but goodies from 70's thru 80's and I do like some soft rock

Movies:

Dirty Dancing, Flash Dance, Saturday Night Fever. I enjoy musicals or movies where there is dancing or music involved

Television:

American Idol, Amazing Race, Big Brothers, Dancing With The Stars, nanny 911, Grays Anatomy has got to be my all time favorite

Books:

Catherine Anderson, Nora Roberts, Fern Michaels, Debbie McComber, James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks, Helen Steiner Rice are just a few of the authors I enjoy

Heroes:

I know it sounds corny but my husband is my hero, not only because he actually did save my life once but because he is always there for me no matter what the circumstances and there have been many in the last few years. He never complains just does what needs to be done.
