ROBY Di MALONE
Born in 1969, Roby, grew up in Italy, by the early eighties he was influence by the music of: Duran Duran, Peter Gabriel, Mick Jagger, James Brown, Steve Wonder, Depeche Mode Imagination, and the Beatles. He loves "Harley Davidson" bikes, the sun shine, but his passion for house music goes beyond all else.
His first musical venture as a DJ was while vacationing in Ibiza, when he began testing at a local club named Bananas&Co. in Formentera-Ibiza. There, he received rapturous reception that he decided to continue the journey in the world of Djing. Later, he became a resident dj at the same club, and soon he was in charged of putting together what it would be his first album entitled D.P.M. (De Puta Madre). . He discovered his passion for house music; which he describes as a "pure natural drug" , indeed. He is a dance music lover, that remain very much in the realms of classic house, but with an abroad appeal. His varied style includes house from all ends of spectrum, mixing classic house grooves with more recent deep house sound. He played in the European music scene like, Greece, France, Italy, Holland and Spain. But, his determination to follow his passion in music led him to moved, and explored new hemispheres.
In 2003, Roby moved to Los Angeles, California, where he spun at various clubs like; The Avalon in Hollywood, The factory, The Shelter, The abbey, Zanzibar, The Standard Lounge,
just to mention a few. Here, he rocked dance floors all of which have already booked him a return. He established a solid follow up and gain respect among his peers in the club scene of Hollywood. Not to mention, while spinnig at Hollywood "private parties " where, he was honored by VIP audience.
Now, he has been working with firsthand talent such as Kevin Irving a known producer in the Music Industry. Preparing his upcoming debut as an artist with the legendary song of the King of the Blues Robert Johnson, "Sweet home Chicago". His compositions have been recorded by notables artist such as Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Miller, Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead, John Hammond, Jeff Healey Band, Elmore James, B.B. King, Lockwood, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, Cassandra Wilson, Ike, and many others. But, this time it will be presented in an evolutionary way of dance music, with a pristine production, and a sensibility that gives it a wide appeal that will hit the shelves pretty soon!. At the same time, he’s working together with Kirv on a brand new dance label which intends to establish itself as the premier International Dance Music record label. As well as, establish a chain of restaurant/nightclubs ala Hard Rock Cafe, base on dance music culture, quality food, and top entertainment. He is also preparing a clothing line to be launch along with the corporation, a line that’s never seen before!. Moreover, his is working independently on licensing a song of his, entitled "Underground Business", a controversial, but ground taking song! That soon will hit the shelves.
