********ATTENTION: MUZIKHAND THE A&R VISITORS, I get countless request and I haven't been able to listen to anyone's music recently, so PLEASE stand out, say something funny, tell me something about my page so that I know its not a spam add, so that I can check you out and leave an opinion if you want on your page. Besides being a A&R I love music and I am willing to give anyone a try, so long as they are good, I bump unsigned people in my ipod and have even bought music from artists on MYSPACE, but you have to be super DOPE********
As an A&R consultant, my main purpose is to scout talent and get them heard by the right people. I work along side industry vet, Icepick Jay Jackson, who has been involved with The Ruff Ryders Movement, mainly being responsible for A&R direction on various albums from Jadakiss, Drag-On, Eve, and DMX to name a few and has gone on to have credits on over 30 million records sold in the U.S alone. Today he is a freelance A&R consultant for Star Trak Entertainment, bridging together deals for the serious and talented self contained artists, with ambitions of taking their craft to the next level.
We have a company called THE H INC. We do artist development and A&R consultations. (We give you an indept critique and assessment of you music and subsequent steps to getting your career where you want it.) As a Musician, I find a lot of freedom in music because I like to challenge myself and go different places creatively, while not alienating the general audience with a whole bunch of weird shit.
