The Buddha Brains formed in the summer of 1996 at a poker table in an after-hours bar in Greenwich Village, NYC. The first rehearsal studio was located in a Montclair, NJ basement underneath a Mexican restaurant. It was here where the music for "Gift Waves" was completed. "Gift Waves" was recorded "old school" style , with basic tracks for 10 songs being completed in one day, (and vocals and sax added later). From here the band began sharpening its live show at clubs in NYC, Montclair, and Hoboken.Read some reviews at
