Quintet de l'Est de la France né en 2003, HMX baigne dans les courants du metal actuel aux guitares saturées ultra graves, aux rythmiques saccadées et brutales, le tout porté par une batterie qui bastonne.
Influencé à ses débuts par des formations punk hardcore telles que Disharge ou Suicidal Tendencies et par les thrashers de la Bay Area, HMX ralenti aujourdhui le tempo et abandonne les blast-beats pour alourdir la charge en s'orientant vers un metal lourd et efficace, à mi-chemin entre Chimaira et Hatebreed, en passant par Dry Kill Logic, Machine Head, Watcha. Caliban, Coal Chamber.
Après des concerts durant le printemps 2004, le groupe enregistre sa premiere demo dans l'esprit do it yourself . Cette production maison sort en septembre et s'intitule MO2PASS=N. A l'été 2005, le groupe rentre en studio pour l'enregistrement d'un nouveau 4 titres IMPERO. Le groupe a écumé de nombreux cafés concert et salles de la region aux cotés de formations majeures de la scene metal hardcore du Grand Est telles que TAF, Aside From A Day, Anorma, et Headust.
Quintet of eastern France who was born in 2003, HMX bathed in the flow of current metal with ultra serious saturated guitars, choppy and brutal rhythms, all driven by violent drums and screaming vocals.
Its earliest works was influenced by punk hardcore formations such as Disharge or Suicidal Tendencies and the Bay Area thrashers. Today, HMX slows the tempo and leaves blast-beats for moving to a heavy and effective metal, halfway between Chimaira and Hatebreed, via Dry Kill Logic, Machine Head, Watcha, Caliban, and Coal Chamber.
After some gigs in the spring of 2004, the band recorded its first EP with the spirit "do it yourself". This home production released in September and was intitled MO2PASS = N (password = hate). In the summer of 2005, the band returned to the recording studio for a new EP called IMPERO. The band scoured many clubs alongside major formations of the hardcore metal scene of eastern France such as TAF, Aside From A Day, Anorma, and Headust.
