About Me

Let's just cut to the chase, shall we? In the words of Journey, "I'm just a small town girl, living in a lonely world." Sorry, I just had to do that. The first and formost thing that you all should know is that I am a Christian.
And now, back to the entertainment portion of our show. First name - Emily. Middle name - Coral. Call me Em if you want to. I AM from a small town that hardly anyone has ever heard of. For most people who want to experience it for themselves, I give them the 5 minute tour. (That's right! The LONG TOUR!)
I am majoring in journalism at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. Exciting? Eh, you can decide if you want. Even though it is a stereotype for most people in the JRN field, I hate math, but I CAN do it.
Pathetically? Yes. Am I ashamed of this? No. Certain people were called to certain things. Math was not my calling so I didn't pick up the phone when it rang.
Currently, I am seriving a sentence of two to 10 years at Troy. I've asked about being let out on good behavior, but due to their lack of response and my inability to behave when I'm ready to mutiny... it didn't pan out. So this leaves me with an 18 hour work load PLUS writing for the TROP and being promoted from Perspectives editor to News Editor after writing for the paper for only a year. All in all, I think that I have a plate as full as you can get at an all you can eat buffett. (No thanks fellas, there will be no seconds for me this time!)
I am in journalism because think that I may be fairly decent at writing and speaking. And because I AM able to pass 8th grade math!!! *whoop whoop* That's a criteria that all papers and magazines require, you know? They also require you to include in your portfolio the best live shot you have of Bigfoot and a scripted rundown of your latest interview with Elvis as he passed through your area in his UFO. If any of you aspiring journalists need a contact to get to "The King," my friend Ray has his cell number. Sorry... apparently I am distracted by shiny objects and thoughts that I've had in the past... this is great in conversation though!
I LOVE old movies. And, NO. Movies from the 1970s and up DON'T count. My favorites come from the late 1920s and reach into the mid 1960s. I LOVE Katherine Hepburn. "My, isn't she yar?"
I like classic rock, 80's music, "oldies" that are constantly being introduced to me... hmm.... if this is the case (introduction occuring)... does the term "oldie" apply?
My best friend is Amy Rodgers. I like to sing and "white girl dance" and I say that because I KNOW I will never look natural and/or cool out on the dance floor. Yet, I teach music for Vacation Bible School (I teach it to the other music teachers within the county, and then, I teach the children as well.)
I am a walking paradox. I am 20, but people say that I act like an old person/geezer at times. My age has been guessed between the ages of 20 (correct) and 35 (NOT CORRECT!) I like to read and draw when I have the time. Writing is something that I enjoy as long as limits are not set on me. I love kids and senior citizens. You can learn a lot from those two age groups. You get told the completely honest and sometimes brutally honest truth from both groups.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

This is a hard question to answer. How about I just say I want to meet people worth my time. 'Cause if you're worth my time, I'll give you my time. *And I've never met anyone NOT worth my time!

The ever-fabulous Peter Cincotti! "The Love is Gone" *Watch the piano skillz in action because it is pretty much AMAZING.*

My Blog
