When Shenanigans’ guitarist and vocalist Remington Cox suffered a microphone malfunction and broke off a chunk of his front tooth on stage, he had a choice: stop singing and seek emergency dental care or spit it out and finish the song.
Remy finished the song. Bonding would have to wait.
That performance—at Oceanside’s Pier View Pub in October 2006—confirmed Shenanigans’ alt rock roots. The band, not even two years old, has already gone on a California tour, performed at an L.A. Radio Station show at The Key Club in Hollywood, SOMA (main stage) and the Epicentre, both in San Diego. The Epicentre hosted a show for the release of Shenanigans’ first CD in October 2007. The CD, entitled Stella Luna, is available on iTunes and other sites.
The band's music video for “Oh! The Romance†earned a spot in L.A. radio station 98.7's Rock Star Contest. Shenanigans beat out more than 100 bands and played the Key Club as part of the Top 5 acts in the contest. A local news paper profiled Shenanigans’ quest to make the finals of the Rock Star contest:

Filmmakers and brothers Jason and Greg Skiano and Nick Conedera directed the music video, which was shot last summer in San Diego. The video has more than 5,000 plays on youtube.com and myspace.com and was featured on San Diego’s Channel 8 News.

In June of 2008 Shenanigans plan to release a new EP and a music video. The CD release/Two year anniversary show will be held in San Diego in the first few weeks of June. Then in July, Shenanigans will embark on their second tour for 3 weeks throughout the Western United States.
Shenanigans the band consist of Remy Cox (Vocals Guitar), Evan Gillig (Guitar), Philip Noel (Bass) and Cory Williams (Drums.)
