“…it all starts with a song”
Feeling that a former collaborative project was on the verge of collapse, Daniel Devain took matters into his own hands. Though he had been writing for countless years, he began secretly writing songs for a brand new band of his own...DEVAIN. It was time to heed the advice of supporters and bring his unique sense of style and attitude to center stage. With his vision outlined, it was now time to fill it in with his favorite colors.
“…if you could pick anyone”
Keith Molly was searching for a band that shared his passion for hard, riffy rock. Hunting the papers and web pages lead him to Daniel and they quickly realized they were truly kindred musical spirits. Nova Scotia born Molly plays the bass with flamboyance and aggressiveness seldom possessed by bass players in music today.
“…who else?”
Jack Colish was playing drums for his own long running project and also playing together with Daniel and Keith. When the worlds shifted and the band became DEVAIN, Colish decided to devote his time exclusively to the new group. Jack brings a smartness to the group, combined with his ability to make the music groove just right. (Not to mention his ability to funnel beers while playing!)
“…he’s the missing ingredient”
Introduced by friends, Travis “TZ” Szabo met DEVAIN and was auditioning before he even knew it…literally! Over beers and whiskey Daniel and Travis passed a guitar back and forth. Devain was so impressed, he was certain TZ was the last piece of the puzzle. Travis plays with a raw, natural fierceness and finds himself fully at home on the stage and under the lights.
