"This record," Sailor said, "in my opinion, may be just a little bit too political sometimes. It's gonna kick people where they don't want to be kicked. It's going to be very painful right from the get-go. A million miles an hour right in your face.""Look for a long time at what pleases you," wrote French author Collette, "and for a longer time at what pains you." The same goes for music. Igor Stravinsky's Rite of Spring is brutal and uneven, just like spring weather can be cold one week, then stormy or sunny the next. Improvisational jazz may sound like noise that's meant to scare away crows, but it challenges the boundaries of what music is.Some metal music brings us a message of how uncaring and manipulative many in our nation's government can be, especially in these days when our representatives are shoveling money at failing institutions, then have the nerve to act shocked when they find out these institutions are not using their money as they're supposed to. They're comfortable in their self-righteousness, hiding comfortably in the rabbit hole. The music of Surviving Thalia blasts its way down that rabbit hole. And burns hot and bright so that we can see.

"This band had the most spins on 93.1 The Fox as an independent artist in 2006."

"Surviving Thalia Rocks! Holy cow, these fargers absolutely rock! I thought it would be good, but not this good! Ya got Sailor from My Own Victim (Century Media) fronting the Nemesis guys in what turns out to be good wholesome fun for the entire family - ..The MANSON Family! Seriously, this band is as good as any veteran metal act in Louisville history. And that goes for yer MOVs, Flaws, Primer 55s, etc, etc. The background vocals of guitarist Mike Taylor really shine in unison with Sailor's vocals. Actual holding of notes are heard. Harmony is achieved. And it all sounds good. If you haven't seen this new band, hurry, ..cuz its the best they've done so far. This is how it's supposed to be done."

"Sailor is my boy and this project is setting a new standard. I can jam to this."

Kim Blevins: Absolutely Incredible: A breath of fresh air for aggressive music.
"Absolutely Incredible: A breath of fresh air for aggressive music. Great musicianship, an original formula that compliments the members of this band very well. The complicated riffs and intricate sounds keeps you wanting more. The screaming on this CD is top notch, I would put this guy next to likes of Phil Anselmo in his prime, & Max Cavelera (Soulfly). I love the mixture of the abrasive screaming mixed with the soothing, melodic hooks in the chorus of the songs....They are definitely taking back their America!" Rated 5 of 5 stars.
James Bosley: 1 word to describe this band and their CD...NEW!
"Very well written & produced CD. Upon listening to this bands CD 'Welcome to our America', I found myself full of piss and vinegar and ready to take on the world after several listens. Everything about this band is perfect. A bone-jarring, political (while soothing) vocal delivery of their front man to the diverse and very interesting rhythms of the band. Every member of this band is extremely talented in their instruments, giving me a sense of satisfaction. This band does not sound like all the others out already that my friends tell me to listen to from time to time - only to find they are not very good. I really want to see this band here in MO and highly recommend this CD to everyone." Rated 5 of 5 Stars.
