About Me

Wow I just realized I havent edited this in almost a year!!!!Jeff has played bass since fourth grade. In highschool he was the bassist for the Ludington Highschool Jazzband, and also the principle bassist of the Ludington Highschool Orchestra. He attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for three years winning the distinguished camper award his second year. He also attended Interlochen Arts Camp and served as the bassist for the Highschool Jazzband and for the Advanced Improv. Combo, also playing bass in the Interlochen Philharmonic Orchestra at the same time. In highschool Jeff had the opportunity to perform with the Ron Johnson Trio, The Ted Malt Quintet, and the Truth and Jazz Orchestra led by legendary West Michigan drummer Tim Fronchek. Jeff was also a member of the Michigan All State Orchestra for two years and a member of the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Orchestra for one year. He has had the good fortune to attend masterclasses and workshops by bass greats such as John Clayton, Rufus Reid, John Patitucci, Buster Williams, Richard Davis, Avishai Cohen, Martin Wind, Phil Polombi, Barry Green, Joel Quarrington, and many others. Jeff currently attends Michigan State University where he studies with Jazz Master Rodney Whitaker, and former Principle Bassist of the North Carolina Symphony Jack Budrow.
