RURAL WAR ROOM is a duo: Byron Werner and Donavan Suitt. Listed alone (in upper case) this name refers to the world's first cyber band, in that we record online with members in other countries.
This name has franchised into a radio show, broadcasting rare, lost vinyl records and imports from international artists and a record label to distribute lost recordings and unusual artists who would otherwise never have music distribution. Also, the words "records" and "recordings" are interchangeable. Most releases are on CD only. Keep reading...

• RWR Records is proud to announce the newly restored recordings of Little Rock, Arkansas' finest musical transplant to Venice Beach, CA, the one and only
Elton and Betty White! Please befriend the new page! This material is remastered from the original recordings, thanks to our good friend Jerry Colburn. This is the first time these recordings have ever been heard outside the studio. Suitt has cataloged then entire collection - 260 songs in all. The first CD, Elton and Betty White - Hard Deep Sex Explosion (1989/2008) will be available this fall. It is a pity that it has taken so long for the world to have access to the couple's recordings. Though Betty is no longer with us, Elton deserves much more than the world has given him. It is time for him to get something back. This is a labor of love. Profits from this release go directly to Elton.
• Current RWR Records releases include the politically incorrect self-titled cult hit Johnny Future ; Little Rock comedy veterans, Red Octopus Theater ; foul-mouthed holiday icon, Mr. Santa - Live and Studio! plus the two CDs playing now by the cyber band RURAL WAR ROOM.
• RWR Records also looks forward to releasing lost artists like southern darling Tammy Loretta Judd , outsider Omo the Hobo, Little Rock's own psychedelic Christian group from '69, Rayburn, tone-challenged lounge couple The Real Jonzes, and the original shock-jock from late-'70s black radio, Chicago's own white guy-with-band, Bob Wall and the Wall-Notes. Also watch for debut releases from other lost Little Rock, AR acts like war veteran Jack Pardon, and the ever-elderly CC and the Fossiles, alongside the politically incorrect fair of The UBAF. RWR Records will also be releasing The New World of Stainless Steel, and many lost recordings and ultra-obscure vinyl - burlesque humor, female impersonators, high-school bands, one-shot religious recordings and more - digitized for the very first time. Watch for the new website coming soon. Please tell your friends...

• Byron Werner is featured in the winter 2008 edition of CA Modern Magazine with Jeff Kaliss. For those who don't know, Werner is the one who revived the careers of Juan Esquivel and Raymond Scott from oblivion. He also coined the phrase "Space Age Bachelor Pad Music" which was the title of the first big re-issue of an Esquivel collection. In fact, read the liner notes. They say, "If you enjoy the music of Juan Esquivel - Thank Byron Werner..." Thanks. Read the CA Mag article Esquivel In Orbit by Jeff Kaliss.

Sounds Like: My favorite monkey, Flight 273 to Mars, a-choo, the corner of 7th & Bedford, a seance, a hippopotomous in suitcase sauce, Realistic Lab 390, voodoo drum jerks, the money machine, strings in space, air seeping from a yellow balloon, laughing with you, distant fireworks in November, a submarine with Turkish instructions, an orchestra in full swing, grade-school short film narration, a swift kick in the teeth, laser beams from friends, invisible tamborines, sophisticated Arabian military movements, lounging by a furious stream, Fernando Lamas, some yelling from mom, birds chirping through a tube, double-time pornography, slowed and slurred dialog, modern homes, Lawrence of Arabia, a steam wand on high, Tallulah Bankhead, a crank with no work brain, backwards playground wars, a very large gong, an unexpected LSD trip, falling down a flight of stairs, the damned phone in 1975, a 6-month-old jazz singer, the first take-off plan, some spare change, Lilac Park, Japanese pillow factories, my coughing fit in the exam room, Stu Goddard, a hair-band from that sitcom, Pamela Grier, 1960s news clips, synthetic slides up and down the block, a redneck convenience store clerk on the phone, tipsy Tina, fake snoring by an ex-actor, Mr. T, a psycho on the keys, a drill in the crib, fornicating Swaggart, the car finally starting, thunderous applause at a dinner theatre, atonal sax solo, a dog toilet, low-brow opera, 1980s music store promotional music, marching in hell, some beatleson the sidewalk, feedback pie, crossing the Pacific, a hippie's bells tangling around his feet, Tom Bailey, a semitone too flat, heavy coffee drinking in the morning, the deaf talk-show host, LaToya Jackson, a Bulgarian barista, CD skips that stayed in time, a double hand-spring over and over with a dash of dill. A menace.
