I am here for Networking

About Me

Well, I'm a husband to Kelly (Clark) and a father of two, Tyler and Chloe. My world pretty much revolves around their needs, with a few of mine thrown in for good measure. And there's also, Red, the insanely demonic boxer.

Otherwise, I'm very laid-back and try to see humor in everything. It's the only way to get through this thing going on around us called life.

I work at Texas Book Company in Greenville, and I LOVE my job. There was a time when I thought that wasn't possible anymore. I'm working hard every day and feeling great for it, and I'm making more money than I ever have before. It feels really good to be where I'm at.

My Interests

My wife and kids, music, music, music and I like dogs. I love reading, traveling, cooking and eating.

I'd like to meet:

Bill Clinton, Michael Crichton, J.K. Rowling, Richie Sambora, Steve Alten, Tom Hanks, Leonardo da Vinci, and damn it, who wouldn't want to meet Dr. Phil?!?!?! ..

Music:

Well uhh ...Country, Southern Rock, Pop Rock, Hair Bands of the 80's, I like to throw in a little of that there hippity-hoppity stuff, but nothing too hard.Bands I like right now are Disturbed, Black Eyed Peas, Cross-Candian Ragweed, and WOLFMOTHER, OH YEAH! Check 'em out! Update: As of the past few months (since March?) I'm on a big Travis Tritt and/or Joan Jett kick. What an odd mix. Can't get enough Neil Diamond. Great range from Sebastian Bach, great feeling from Kenny Chesney (everything the guy sings turns to gold). Energy is exemplified in Sammy Hagar.

Movies:

Wedding Crashers is a brilliant comic performance. Forrest Gump was just a great damned movie. Office Space is entirely too true. Roots was good. Footloose is a classic, with a great soundtrack. Moving forward into MODERN times, I liked Duplex, 50 First Dates, Jersey Girl, SAW, and plenty of others that came in the nifty little Netflix envelopes.NETFLIX is simply one of the greatest services to a married couple with kids ...

Television:

I don't know that I'd call myself a reality tv junkie, but I admit that there could be a problem.I'm really into watching UFC fighting ... just complete greatness. And, I consider the entire day wasted if I miss Wheel of Fortune. Then there's How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, New Adventures of Old Christine, 'Til Death and probably some more that I'm forgetting. Oh yeah, The Class is pretty good.

Books:

Harry Potter and his whole entire magical world have me captivated. I talk about the characters like they're real (maybe they are?). Can't wait for the 7th book, although it looks like that is EXACTLY what I'm doing ... waiting.

Heroes:

My Dad, Audie Hughes. He was a great man, taken way before his time. He taught me about respect, integrity and discipline. But most importantly he taught me about love and not being afraid to display it.
I can honestly say that he is my only hero.
