OUR BELOVED FRIEND AND GUITARIST, FLYNN MCGEE, DIED TRAGICALLY ON AUGUST 24th, 2007 IN A CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENT. THIS BAND IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE ENJOY THE MUSIC WE MADE WHILE FLYNN WAS WITH US.The Heart Attacks Are: Flynn McGee (guitar and vocals): Flynn has led bands in the San Francisco Bay area as well as Austin Texas and Madison, WI. He played lead guitar for the house band at the noteworthy Antones Blues Club Austin and shared the stage with the likes of Jimmy Vaughn and Mark Kazanoff. He plays with the popular 3 piece band called The Throwbacks every Thursday at Stellas Speakeasy in Stoughton.Bret Stubblefield (drums): As the nephew to the Funky Drummer, Clyde Stubblefield, Bret has been around the scene and playing drums his whole life. He had been playing with a heavy metal band before he saw the light to join up with the Heart Attacks.
Rob Hoium (bass): Rob has been playing in various bands in the south central part of Wisconsin for, well, Im not sure how long but Im pretty sure its been a long time. He was the bass player at one time for the country band Madison County and still plays with the great Janesville blues-rocker Chainsaw Curtis.
Paul Sabel a.k.a. Tall Paul (harmonica and vocals): Paul has been sitting in with various bands and harmonica players as part of the apprenticeship many harmonica players go through. These musicians include Westside Andy Mel Ford Band, Glenn Davis, Gary Primich, Little Mack Simmons, R.J. Mischo, John Primer, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Jim Liban and Jorge Chicoy. Hes a founding member of the Havana Cuba based blues outfit Sociedad Havana Blues but the Heart Attacks are his first full-time stateside band.
