I'm a native Texan although I was raised in Alamogordo, N.M. I moved back to Texas because of the tremendous beauty. I'm a direct descendant of Robert E. Lee. Now, about Jesse James, my mother used to write J. Frank Dalton in 1941 when he was 91 years of age. She was 16 and in one of his letters it said "sorry I haven't the wanted poster you wanted it's at my home in Waco". So, I came home and researched Jesse James & Waco. I found Betty Dorsett Duke who said she was J.J.'s great granddaughter. I was amazed. Come to find out at my Aunt's funeral last October, my grandfather John Harry Hill was constable of Waco pre-1924. All of the Hill children but 4 were born in Lorena, TX about 10-12 miles east of Waco. My Aunt spoke of James L. Courtney and how her father knew he was J.J. but left him alone as they had a secret covenant as long as he obeyed the law. I know who J. Frank Dalton really was by letters he wrote my mom in 1941. He spoke of accounts that only a Younger, Dalton or James would have known. I have done a lot of research about this J. Frank Dalton; he wasn’t a Dalton or Jesse James. Ihave a great story to tell! Google Jesse James in Texas.I guess you could say I'm kinda a lake person. I am blessed enough to have a house overlooking Canyon Lake, Texas. We have a boat and two jet ski's. I spend my summers with my husband John, on the lake teaching our boys, Preston 19, and Chase 12 how to have fun doing all kinds of watersports. I prefer slalom skiing. My oldest son Shawn is a Real Estae Broker in New Mexico and his lovely bride Sarah is a school teacher. They take really good care of my 83 year old mom, Johnie Ruth. Now, as you all probably know, my 25 year old daughter Melissa is somewhat of a free spirit. She now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and is a designer. My priorities in life are God, family and friends!
