About Me

G'day all. James Christopher here and welcome to my MySpace Page. I've been a keen musician from a young age, learning piano first before flexing my muscles on the drum skins. I've been writing and recording since as far back as the early 90's, heavily influenced by the underground acid house scene of the time in London, my initial adoptive home, having been born in Sheffield.
Electronic music played a huge part in my music production style for a long while and I've produced and remixed over the years for artists and DJ's such as Dub Pistols, Timo Maas, Accadia and Gabrielle, helping to pioneer the progressive house and breaks scene of recent years, something I'm immensely proud of!
You can check out some of my wares under various recording guises on iTunes and Beatport etc. They include Ashtrax , Southern Comforter and Stalker as well as the cross-over indie electronic band The Remote .
As for hero's, well I don't exactly subscribe to that way of thinking but inspiration musically over the years has come from the likes of Depeche Mode, Autechre, Vince Clarke and Aphex Twin.
Currently, artists such as Dan Abrams (Shuttle358, Fenton, 12k Recs) and Maximo Park are doing it for me. Looking forward to seeing the latter next month here in my latest adoptive home, Sydney.

Thanks for stopping by and if you bought or are buying my music, a very big thankyou. Its people like you that make my world go round.
