Peace Gathering

About Me

The Peace Gathering is back, and now we're on Myspace! The Peace Gathering was started by a group of Baha’is who, inspired by the teachings of their Faith, wanted to help build community that was grounded in spirituality and the arts.Meeting on the first Friday of every month, people of all beliefs can come together to partake of a vision of life recreated. We believe that the love that comes from the world’s religions and great spiritual traditions is a powerful source of transformation for our worldThe purpose of this profile is threefold: (1) To let people in the LA area know about the Peace Gathering. We feel this is important since many people have said their lives changed after attending (2) To serve as a networking space for people interested in service to humanity and progressive art (3) To serve as a resource for anyone interested in learning more about the Peace Gathering model so they can help start similar gatherings wherever they live.A sacred atmosphere is evoked when we begin with the inspiring words of various world Faiths. The proper vibe in place, we introduce our guest artist who lifts our hearts through the power of their music or poems. When the guest artist has finished we open up for communal sharing, allowing the participants to speak their truth, whether in the form of a poem, prayer, song or simple thought. You are warmly invited to our next PEACE GATHERING This profile was edited with FearKiller's Pimp MySpace 2.2
