Movies:

I'll only list the speciality/niche subgenres, since I enjoy watching most everything (but the following are categories that hold a special attraction): Italian giallo cinema, ala Bava, Argento. Nature amok/Xenophobia drive-in gems from the 50s-70s. Jedai-geki from Japan (yay, Kurosawa!). Grindhouse dreadfuls from the 70s. Harryhausen. Cerebral/Existential horror, ala Cronenberg, Lynch. John Carpenter, as he deserves his own category if only for making "The Thing". But I'll watch just about everything.

Television:

Top 4, which I follow obsessively: 24, Lost, Smallville, Supernatural, Heroes. Runners up, in no particular order: 4400, Family Guy, Star Trek (original cast), Venture Bros, Carnivale (cancelled), X-Files (seasons 1- 6), original Twilight Zone, Night Gallery, Outer Limits. And just about anything on TCM, AMC, Animal Planet, A&E, Discovery . . .
