About Me

This is the page for Alan the Artist.
what others would say about ME: Renaissance man -noun- look it up.
Me on Me: talking about oneself seems to work best when you have a tele-prompter feeding you lines of poetic metaphors. In reality I shy away from talking about myself... plus that takes away the process of discovering me and all my wonderful layers like a: banana, onion, artichoke, or parfait.
BUT... In a nut shell...

I am an artist of many things.

My life is a living creation process that is being Divinely driven. I have learned my skills through deep observation in both traditional educational settings and in the school of life. I tend to absorb much more than what is seen, in the sense that I think not only as an artist but an engineer and a mystic. I touch process deeply and find most satisfaction in any process rather than product.

THE ART OF WORKING WITH YOUTH:I started working with youth back in Jr High. Since then I have worked with infants to college students. Tree of many situations are mentioned below.

Cleo Wallace: Worked as a Mental Health Worker at a residential treatment center for youth.

Teaching: I taught @ an inner city school in Denver. Arts&Crafts 1&2, Drawing&Painting 1&2, and Advanced Photography. Currently I teach an adult pottery class in W. Hollywood.

DayCAre: I worked at an ran a day care in Denver for 7years. I have a knack for calming infants, building towers and facilitating great art projects.

CULINARY ARTS: I spent my youth in two places...one in nature and two in the kitchen with my mom and grandma. Never any formal training but I can cook for any palate from veggie and healthy to meaty and artery clogging. I love working with GREEN CHILIES, caramelized onions, roasted garlic, sage and white wine, coconut and rum, honey and soy, and so much more. I love making appetizers that balance or contrast entrees. I love cooking for others but not really myself.
ART OF TOUCH: I do not have any formal training but I have a lot of self training and practice in the art of massage. I suffer from back problems and work other peop the way I would want to be worked. I have (self) studied reflexology, physiotherapy, deep tissue, energy healing, head/face and soft touch. I have spent a lot of time studying human anatomy (from an art background) and feel I have a good understanding of how things work and connect. Give me a chance and I will leave you satisfied. I am a strong believer in the power of touch, cuddling, and hugs... I am a "Hug Therapist" you can be one too click here to find out how.
Now entering 2008 I look back at the wake I have made artistically over the decades and I attribute all my creativity and blessings to GOD. I want my work to be a reflection of the presence of that divinity in my life.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

the lovers of: experience, divinity, people, living, mindfulness, waking, dreaming, doing, feeling, expressing, forgiving, smiling, serving, energy, light, question, risk, chance, change, opportunity, nature.
