there are few things as fetching as a bruised ego on a beautiful angel

About Me

I'm pretty bad ass. It's tattooed on me. My priorities in life include- leaving the world a better place than I found it, bringing some fun to wherever I go, being honest, experiencing as much as I can, learning as much as my brain will hold, and infecting the world with smiles. I'll try anything once and if you've got a story, I'd love to hear it. I've got a few of my own. I'm not very good at keeping my mouth shut, about anything, ever, but I am pretty good at making people laugh. Curiosity may have killed the cat, but it hasn't gotten the best of me yet. I forget that I'm not nearly as big as I think I am.On a day to day basis I sit in an office and try to help low income people who are being evicted. Because this isn't the most lucrative career, I also serve wings and beer on the weekends. When I'm not working, I love to dance, visit dive bars for a non-lite beer with friends, go to shows, learn and experience anything, and smell flowers.I spent 3 days in New Orleans in January and changed my mind about everything. Five days after I got back to Ohio I applied to Loyola for law school and a month later found out I got in. I fell more in love with that city than any boy I've ever met, so come August 1 I'll be calling NOLA home. I can't wait! Feel free to send any suggestions for dining experiences, bars to check out, books to read, bands, etc. my way.

My Interests

learning anything and everything, being happy and getting happier, exploring, dancing as much as possible-anywhere and everywhere, getting ready to move to law school in New Orleans, collecting all kinds of clothing and sometimes organizing it, cutting stuff up and putting it back together, riding bikes everywhere, getting excited about everything, my fabulous girlfriends, laughing in the movie theater when everyone else won't, reading, quad skates, tattoos, giggles, adventures, anything that's clever, Monday Night Date Night, thrift store art, pigtails, honesty, dandelions, talking with my favorite people, talking with friendly strangers, talking with just about anyone, lying in the sun in as little clothing as possible, frolicking in the rain and splashing in puddles, doing exactly what I want and meaning exactly what I say, growing giant house plants, wandering around thrift stores searching for lost treasures, walking down haunted streets alone at night, swearing excessively, cowboy boots and tutus, keeping up with what's going on in the world and trying to do my part, Africa and OmniPeace Tshirts, leopard print, fishing, just right baggy Levi's, happy music, the color pink, always leaving too much money in parking meters, big aviator sunglasses, good manners, smiles, televised wrestling, time by myself, sudoku puzzles, drinking good beer, classical music, being assertive, my pearl-handled 2 shot Derringer, iced coffee, sushi, old flannel button ups, exclamation points, short skirts & fantastic shoes, running in the dark, long shiny necklaces, ballet, rockin out, people who are smarter than they look, delicious food, the letter X, yoga, the woods and lakes of Wisconsin, survival techniques, and bears

I'd like to meet:

Someone who understands this...Upon getting into a New Orleans cab: "I'm so in love." "With that boy?" "That boy? No, ha. This city. I don't fall for boys like this."

Music:

Can I dance to it?

Movies:

Anything with lots of action and little to no romance. Gun fights, car chases, knife fights, fist fights, explosions, and zombies, preferably all in the same movie. My 3 favorites- Grindhouse, Natural Born Killers, and V for Vendetta The best knife fight scene- EVER

Television:

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call "The Twilight Zone". I like educational TV. I especially like the episodes of Man vs. Wild where Bear Grylls has to get naked to warm up.

Books:

I've read almost every book I own at least 3 times and I own 2 bookshelves. I like stories, regardless of their basis in reality. Some notable favorites; anything by Herman Hesse or Steve Martin, No Future Without Forgiveness by Desmond Tutu, The Little Prince, and The Unbearable Lightness of Being. There just aren't enough good short stories around, but I love those too.

Heroes:

My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together. - Desmond Tutu

What do you have to say for yourself young lady?
