I guess I can tell you I am from Texas and the Big D. The vibe there comes out of the Louisiana swamps Cool and slow with plenty of precision. With a back beat narrow and hard to master. Some call it heavenly in it's brilliance
Others, mean and ruthful of the Western dream.
I love all the friends I have gathered together on My thin raft. If Texas was the Chrysalis then the World be my butterfly.
It was there when I hung out with the likes of Matt Story, Joel Wagstaff, Jay Hubler, Brandy Laughlin, John Fields, Genie Mascarro, Paul Elmore, Travis Malley, Mark Barger, Ben Scruggs, Paul Hull, Danny Lipscomb, Donovan Taylor, Terri Nichols, John Buckmaster and Christopher Robin Largen and so many more. I sweat the Texas heat as long as I could. Then that heat got me, really got me... I mean the hot, searing and smoky kind got me and in tha summer of 1993 I said NO MORE!... so it was off for cold and sun and the feel and smell of the snow stank in Manitou Springs and Denver......a bunch of great midwestern adventures camping, rock-climbing, skiiing, 4X4ing, hiking, rafting, gem hunting, biking and basically refilling my spritual wells that had dwindled and waned. But eventually I couldn't take even such sweet cold so I moved to London where I delivered Luxury Cars for the rich and well to do all over England(thats my families heritage..England, that is, and I still miss it and my friends ..Props to Mick the Mouth, Mick the Celt and Jim the Gaff)...had to pick up my shit by the bootstraps again and hustle to Germany..Dusseldorf ....where I hung out far too much on the Alt Strausse and made too many trips to Amsterdam....(well i guess you can never take too many trips to Amsterdam). Cruizing the Autobahn and eating shnitzel with Beer backers took it's toll(literally..I really gained some weight) and opportunities began to dry up so I packed it back to Denver for some R&R and much needed retrospection on the situation..which soon rectified itself into a firm desire to git myself all edumacated..soz I goes and gits a Batch o Science degree in Compooters...badabing badaboom...im living in SanFran on the Bay on my yacht(Tritons Whistle), fishing for Halibut and Tuna and making compooter code go vroom vroom in the valley of the silicon.And you can be sureNo eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn
