About Me

Now I am the big 3-8! 40 is coming way too fast!!!Been interested in helping to lead the local church into what God intends for her to be! It is my passion and heartbeat to inspire, encourage, challenge, and hopefully propel this generation to serve and know a LIVING CHRIST that can and will set them FREE!I am a Pastor, but I am NOT into RELIGION! Can I say that what we need is something REAL! What this world needs is Spiritual Fathers and Mothers to lead the CHURCH of today... I mean it is not about US is it? Then find someone to invest yourself and pour into and love them and grow them in the FAITH!My wife Dawn and I are celebrating 17 years of marriage and we are raising four daughters that are growing way too fast!Mackenzie is 14 and is an absolute FIREBALL for Christ! Alexandra is 10 (wanting to be in youth already) and is a WORSHIP MACHINE, Kylie is our 'out of the box' kid... very artsy and is 8, Maddy is just plain fun! She is 4. Whew... pray for me!WE ARE NOW FREEDOM LIFE CHURCH!!! Yep... we have stepped into God's destiny and identity for this fellowship, I am so excited about what He is doing! It is great to connect with everyone from WooTown (Wooster, OH--Forerunner YM & Evangel AG) and from the Eagan, MN Cedar Ridge Days (RIP)!Can't wait to see what God is going to do through those that follow closely to Him in these last days!!!

My Interests

I love the study of THE CHURCH and anything that involves praying, strategizing, reading, debating about what we must become. It is time for a NEW WINESKIN! I want to see us effectively reach, touch, and connect with this culture of lostness with the love of Christ, but not forsake the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit and a Sovereign Move of Almighty God... finding a way to mix the excellence and relevance to the people around us without sacrificing the message of the CROSS, HOLINESS, and THE PRESENCE OF GOD!I love worship and worship songs that inspire me to GO DEEP!I enjoy ND FOOTBALL, I am also a Die Hard Cubs Fan!!! And I Love golfing...

Music:

Praise and Worship is what keeps me going daily by ushering me into the SECRET PLACE! Lindell Cooley, Jason Upton (went on a missions trip with him in '95 to England!), ummmmm Jessie (Rogers) Goodman, Hillsongs... anything that gets me there! I actually work out to KJ-52... how about that!Love a lot of other styles of music too!!!Our family loves the American Idol (not so much the IDOL name) but the competition and the real life stories!

Movies:

Don't watch a lot of movies... Like comedies, but hard to find a lot that don't take things too far you know?Recent movies watched: Horton Hears a Who... Great message!; The Bucket List, funny but too much hospital at the beginning, again pretty good message!; I also just watched Hotel Rwanda recently and that pretty much messed me up!

Television:

Love reality TV... AI, It's time for the CUBS to end 100 years of misery!Any NON-SEC Sporting Events! Ha! GOD TV--DirectTV ch. 365OUCH!!!

Books:

Yeah... how about the BIBLE!John Bevere... haven't honestly read a lot in the last 2-3 months... it's a shame!Sermons... Listen to Damon Thompson as much as I can. He is on my IPOD... I also listen to Jason Spears weekly podcast on ProvidencePraise.com. Got a bunch of other favorites as well...

Heroes:

International Evangelist Jason Spears bringing it in Asuncion, Paraguay... Jesus! My parents. Love my family, wife, kids, and siblings both sides of the marriage too!!! I have several friends and pastors that are real insprirations to me! Pastor Ralph Holdeman from Lighthouse A/G in Richmond is a great inspiration and friend!
