Formed in early 2005 by vocalist Dan Toni, who brought together guitarists Vern and
Xysor, with drummer Andras, and bassist Nybras. The group quickly clicked musically, though Dan shortly left the band, and after trying out other vocalists, Xysor took over lead vocals.
After several attempts at finding a suitable name, Vern suggested the word Vehement, which all felt held a strong meaning to the band musically and encompassed its essence, and so it stuck. With a name in place, Vehement began to gig frequently around the South East and London. A logo designed by C. Szpajdel followed.
3 years after Vehement’s inception, Vern decided it was time for him to move on, and Raum stepped up to take his place, bringing with him a new angle which helped cement in place Vehement’s sound and style. The ‘Misanthropic Collective’ demo was recorded soon after.
Vehement regret to inform of the departure of bassist Nybras. We wish him all the best in his new musical ventures and many thanks for all the good times. We have recently recruited Amenhotep as bassist. Vehement are currently writing new material with an aim to record spring/summer and have gigs lined up from September.
