Dizzy Dust (Delroy Trowers), born June 11 in the Water House community of Kingston, Jamaica. Raised in a poverty neighborhood Dizzy Dust strived to make things better for his family and himself by moving to Central Village taking on a trade making and selling hand made pottery on the streets of Jamaica. From birth Dizzy Dust was influenced by music, he shared households with well known Jamaican artist Junior Reid, who was the brotherly figure that inspired him. At the young age of sixteen Junior would take Dizzy to his shows where he began to rock the mic. Later in Dizzys career he met Ninja Man, who at that time was on his way to becoming Jamaicas .. 1 artist. After hearing Dizzy perform Ninja Man was fascinated with his unique style & allowed him to open shows that he headlined in Jamaica and the Caribbeans, performing in the Barbados, Montego Bay, Negril, Kingston and St. Catherine.Dizzy got what he believes to be the biggest break in his career by traveling to the United States in 1987 with the 1985 Grammy winning reggae group Black Uhuru. He began to perform as a single reggae artist in the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida area. Eventually making his way to Cleveland, Ohio where he was introduced to "Clevelands first platinum M.C." Brainz Davis Formerlly M.C. Brains, who gave Dizzy the idea of recording his unique music style over hip-hop tracks. Dizzy has mastered this technique like no other reggae artist. His style is accepted at virtually every place hes performed in the United States and Jamaica. Dizzy has opened for great artist such as Elephant Man, Bennie Man, Sean Paul, Trillville, The Hot Boys just to name a few.His latest performance at Vizions Gallery hair show in Kansas City, MO. where he brought the audience to there feet and ended the show with one of the finest reggae finales recorded in the Midwest.
