DJ Enchantd The Underground King
In the entertainment industry, triple threats (artists who do it all) are hard to come by. The music business is not much different. DJ Enchantd, however, has managed to become quite the cosmopolitan of the game stirring spoons in the pots of DJing, promotions, productions, and radio experience. Not to mention his professional affiliations, community involvement, and interviewing skills.
DJ Enchantd hails from London, England; Barbados, West Indies; and Brooklyn, New York. He is a well rounded musician having been involved with music since before [he] can remember and is named after the classical music director Andre Previn. He studied under the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. The raw, young energy in the college circuit of Atlanta and having graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Computer Science, is why he makes the ATL his home presently.
A DJ for the past eight years, his forte resides in late 80s / early 90s Old School and 70s disco classics. Still, his knowledge of what moves the street is equally as impressive. The number of events he has been involved with would make a DJ with more than eight years experience shudder making it difficult to list every one. Yet with over 22 clubs, more than a dozen colleges, schools, and universities, many organizational functions, holding down about six staff positions over time and at least 3 radio shows, plus community involvement in the Caribbean and other communities Enchantd continues to widen the full circle he has created. Filling in that circle were stints in clubs like Eleven50, Esso, Flava, Jaguars, Kaya (now Visions), Kream, Legacy, Odyssey, Karma, Aquarium, Atrium, Frequency, Apache Café and countless others. He has also worked with promoters like Metro Boyz Entertainment, Extreme Media, and others as well. Even organizations like Greek Fraternities and Sororities, and college and university student associations have called upon him without disappointment. Enchantd has opened for acts like Pastor Troy, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Baby Cham and Khujo Goode (GooDie MoB.) His radio experience included the shows Reggae Soundsplash, Da Jam, and presently the WREKroom Renaissance. Among these shows he has conducted witty on air interviews with Das Efx, Jam Master Jay, PMD (of EPMD), Phife Dawg (Tribe Called Quest), Slum Village, Cody Chestnut; moreover, every major Reggae Artist has stepped to the mic like Buju Banton, Spragga Benz, Red Rat, Kymani Marley, Supa Cat, Mad Cobra, Wayne Wonder: and the list is still growing.
A member of Funkmaster Flex / Franchise, and TastemakerDJs record pools, a member of the 5 Star Generals DJ Crew, part owner of Déjà vu Entertainment, co-producer/co-creator and DJ + of The WREKroom Renaissance on WREK 91.1 FM, Atlanta and mix DJ on both WRAS 88.5 FM, Atlanta and WRFG 89.3 FM, Its Ya Boy Enchantd who continues to mow down obstacles and keep the movement in forward thrust.
