Movies:

The Fountain. I'd fallen out of my fascination with filmmaking, since the greatest movies I could find were all in the past and nothing recent could surpass the late greats. The Fountain, however, restored my hope in film by being an inventive movie that's not wrapped up in CGI and served as a pop culture sandwich. It's definitely the greatest film that's come out in the last decade and sets a remarkable standard for movies to come.

Television:

Dexter, Weeds, The L Word, Six Feet Under, Oz

Books:

The Bell Jar, Anansi Boys, Fragile Things, The Sandman Series, Transmetropolitan, V for Vendetta...Ginsberg, Kerouac and the Beatnik Crew are mega-awesome, too.

Heroes:
