The Lisbon era begins.
Scyl receives a new residency in the highly anticipated and respected Fresh Air Fest, with the Selectro Crew as main sponsors and promoters.
2007 - Prague
Selectro’s first anniversary (17 March) at Mecca is chosen by Cybertronic Electro Music Festival as its official warm-up party.
Scyl takes the Swift Beats residency at Zero Music Club.
Selectro plays Midweek Lounge at the legendary Roxy Club.
2006 - Prague & Larnaka
Back in Prague following a successful summer in Cyprus, Selectro receives a supporting residency for Mecca’s Meccamix night followed by a monthly residency also at Mecca.
Repeat summer residences in Cyprus (Sky Lounge Bar and Jungle Gardens) with a new monthly Selectro night at Circus, his third Larnaka residency.
Selectro Music ® is registered with the Ministry of Industry & Tourism in Cyprus.
First official gig in Prague: playing a private party at Vertigo Club (16 March) with Bon Finix. From this coupling, Selectro is born and Bon Finix and Scyl go on to play various clubs introducing the Selectro sound to the heart of the Czech Republic.
2005 - Larnaka
Scyl is given a second summer residency for Sky Lounge Bar plus at a new venue, Jungle Gardens, following a shift in style to electro house. 2004 - Larnaka

Russia and Cyprus united in 1982 to create DJ Scyl, a versatile musical guru with a classical past and progressive future…"With musical talent inherited from my mother, I began playing the violin at four and completed a degree in Theory of Music by the age of 11. Two years later I began to play the piano having finished violin classes and completed another degree in the History of Music. Within a year, I was playing keyboards for a death metal band in Cyprus. This short-lived gig did allow me to buy a computer, which is when electronic music lodged in my brain: composing on the violin and piano inevitably led to experimentation in electronic music production.My first productions were made using Magix Music Studio then I advanced to Fruityloops 3: I produced progressive and techno with some remixes. This amateur producing continued until I finished my National Service after which I moved to Prague in 2002 to study Music Pedagogy and Choir Conducting. Prague gave me an education in classical music and another in the culture and lifestyle of this place where the techno and house scene is electric and the people party, hard. So I bought my first decks (Stanton STR-30 + SMX 201 mixer) and after two years of experimenting with mixes, sounds and genres, I busted ass DJing in Cyrus over the summer of 2004 to buy my trusty Technic MK2s. I played keyboards for Gentle Prison, a minimalist experimental dnb alternative band from 04 - 06. We played the Prague clubs Matrix and Vagon and cut a three-track single.Despite my relatively recent start, both resident and guest DJ slots keep me and Selectro Music happy and busy spinning. In 2007 I performed live and was interviewed on www.danceradio.cz."
