SEGROV

About Me

SEGROV was formed in the autumn of 2003 in Bergen, Norway - a small town with a thriving and supportive(!) music scene. After a few local concerts and festival gigs, SEGROV got signed to a small record label from Bergen - Rec90 . In 2004 they released Why I'm Asking EP accompanied by an extremely expensive music video (stream it at our website ). The title song got A-listet at most the major radio stations in Norway.
In 2005 SEGROV recorded their debut album in Gja Studio ( www.gjoastudio.com ) with producers HP Gundersen and Kato dland. The record is due for release on the 13th of February 2006.
The music is somewhere in the middle of countryrock and melodic pop. We call it countrypop, but we draw inspirations from all sorts of groovy music. The sound combines sharp vocal-arrangments with instruments like pedal steel, dobro, and double bass. Check out www.segrov.com (in english) or our BLOG (in norwegian).
