No Shame is a kind of "open mic" for the theatre. No Shame is a way to display original writing and performance: monologues, five-minute plays, improvisations, interpretive dance, performance art, puppetry, poetry, original songs, poetry, story-telling, etc.
No Shame invites new original writings and stages impromptu performances of those works. It brings together students, faculty, and community members and provides them with opportunities in writing, acting, and performance art.
No Shame is different from other theatre events because you can walk in the door and participate in any way you choose - whether it be writing, acting, or watching. By simply attending, you are partaking in the complete No Shame experience.
No Shame is a space free of judgment and criticism. It is a place full of flourishing creativity.
No Shame Theatre at Minot State is held the first Friday of every month in the Black Box Theatre. Submissions start at 8:00pm and the show starts at 9:00pm. There is no admission charge.
The next No Shame will be Friday, April 20th (due to Easter and Alpha Psi Omega).
