NEMESIS

My name is Nortberto Vega, however, I am most commonly known in the industry as Nemesis. After 18 months, I was considered legally blind, until age 7, when I lost all remaining eye-sight completely. Before I lost my vision I had dreams like any other person, but when I lost my sight all those dreams seemed to be crumbling before me. I felt lost in the blackeness created by this disability, until one day, I decided to break through it and make it my ability. I persevered through school, sports, relationships, and hobbies like any other individual who can see. Above all, I can create music with a passion that most people would never see. I can see beyond bars and instrumentals, beyond punchlines and metaphors...before anything I can see truth and I can see pain. My lack of sight gives me the advantage of not being deceived by what I see and be able to learn from what hear. Like Nemesis the Goddess of Divine Retribution who was also blind, I judge people accordingly by what comes out of them and not how they appear. I transformed my curse to be my greatest weapon. I am Nemesis, and I will leave a legacy.
