About Me

Started way back when in Enid Oklahoma. Oliver Magnum was originaly Monte Humprhey on guitar, Dan Kurts on bass, Curt Daugherty on drums and Mark Mueller on vocals. What a lot of people don't know is that their soundman Howard Worthen(currently on tour with Seether) wrote the majority of their songs. Mark developed vocal problems early on and was replaced with James Randel from OKC's Forte, and later on Jimmy King, also from OKC. The band was signed to Metal Blade Records and is still on one of their earlier compilations. The band did many a great original show with the likes of Pantera (our buddies) Metal Church, Savatage, Lizzy Borden and got the chance to have Mickey D(King Diamond and of all things Dokken sit in). But the best tour I remember was Pantera, Wrathchild America (later became Souls at Zero) and Magnum in Texas. the band acheived great reviews especally in Germany, but with the advent of alternative rock, such as Nirvana and such, they got lost in the shuffle. It is amazing to me that there is still a large fanbase for a band that has been broken up for several years, much thanks to Toby for starting the website. Keep up the faith all ye metalheads and R.I.P. our dear friend Diamond Darrell Abbot. Wayne(lighting tech for O.M.).. width="425" height="350" ..
