Comic Strip

About Me

Comic Strip is a 7 piece band formed in Mid August 2004. Comic Strip plays a 'marriage' of ska, reggae, a little bit of latin and also other forms of music, to (hopefully) make our own brand of music. From a band who's purpose was to help out in a recording project, to a band who is fully commited to its music, Comic Strip has grown, and hopes to bring the crowd dancing on their feet...
The songs uploaded are mix of live recorded from gigs we played and recorded in Ngee Ann Polytechnic FSV Studio for a student final year project. The half hour album, ska'd for life, is a collaboration with another band where Comic Strip wrote, performed and recorded 4 out of 6 songs.
Comic Strip was formerly under a local record label and had recorded half an album. Misunderstandings occured a few months later and we're an independent band once again. We're currently saving up to record our first album. So do stick around and for the mean time, enjoy the uploaded songs.
Comic Strip takes pride and joy in performing, and we hope that our audiences will love us as much as we love performing for them. Hope to see u guys at our gigs. And.. Support Your Local Music Scene!
We'd like to thank the people who have been supporting the band and have been believing in our music from day one till this very moment.
Go Go Comic Strip!
