About Me

Support the Junction!
The Junction, our most-played venue, is trying to help keep its monetary head above the financial waters by selling compilation CDs. Mustard Allegro have contributed a track, the German-language version of Great White, featuring Rahoki on guest vocals. It's called Grosser Weisser (spelt wrong on the CD cover, but that's DIY for you), and you can't get it anywhere else. The album's called DisJunction, and there are 20 top tunes on there, by artists including S J Esau , You And The Atom Bomb , Team Brick , White Trash Ambition , and those it says on the banner down there.

Mustard Allegro formed in January 2006, so don't expect much of a back-story. For the benefit of international readers, we should explain that the Allegro was an iconically awful British car of the 1970s, and particularly so in the colour officially called 'harvest gold' or some such guff.

Some of our track titles:

Bradley's New Shoes Our Finances are in Ruin, Let's Go to the Casino Guns at Dawn, Spats to Pawn The Italian Catering Incident At the Mount of the Chocolate Fountain, At the Fount of the Chocolate Mountain (Hyperdrive!) Summer of Monkey / Pheasants' Revolt For Once I Was Not Being Sarcastic

We have a website, at mustardallegro.co.uk . There might be a hidden MP3 there or something.

Sounds Like:

"Mustard Allegro are not from California. Perhaps, then, the office blocks, docks and cranes of their native Bristol explain the angular portwards list of their peculiar brand of Surf music. The sense of humour is certainly British: named after an iconically awful 1970s car, and sporting track titles like 'At the Mount of the Chocolate Fountain, At the Fount of the Chocolate Mountain (Hyperdrive!)', the Mustards inhabit a world in which King Crimson write energetic two-minute micro-epics with Joe Meek at the controls, then dash down to the beach, boards in arms, only to find half a mile of mud between them and the Severn Estuary."

Pre-gig thoughts

Listening to our recording of Screamer again, it seems a bit slow. We've been practising, and it's now ultra-rocketspeed. Or something.I'm in two minds whether to get my bass set up. There's a buzz on...
