P.L.U.R.: Taken as a whole it means an atmosphere of happiness and acceptance. A place where one may be themself, no matter what. A surrounding which breeds acceptance and rejects the passing of judgement.
PEACE- To me this means keeping a calm and alert awarness of the things and people around you, and knowing how to avoid tense situation that may cause "drama". Peace is about avoiding tension and bad karma all together, and keeping a carefee attitude with yourself and the other people around you.
LOVE- In Latin, there are seven different words for the one we eccompass "love" as being. And this makes sense because there are many different degrees of Love. But in PLUR love to me simply means a wanting to peacefully coexist with the rest of humanity, and looking to find friendship in any person. In short, I see love as the enimanting of good karma.
UNITY- Unity is something felt in the vibe; the emotional and spiritul connection acheived as you move to the music surrounded by people all moving to the same sound. Unity can only be acheived with all inhibtions are forgotten, all grievences set aside, as the massive is allowed to find at which point the are most free, as one universal spirit transcendes through you, shared and felt by everyone.
RESPECT-Now here is the cletcher. The last and prehaps the most important aspect of PLUR: Respect. Respect for you fellow ravers, and the djs and the venue. Repsect for security. Repect for you friends. And above all, Respect for yourself, knowing your limits and your weaknesses and above all knowing when to say "no". This is very important to enjoying yourself at any party. I believe that Respect is the most difficult to achieve out of the entire PLUR philosphy.
