Ren·ais·sance n. A revival of intellectual or artistic achievement and vigor. A better definition could not be found to describe the impact that Renasanz will ultimately have on the Hip-Hop culture once his music reaches the masses. From the seamless way this guy connects his bars, to the vivid content he incorporates into every rhyme; Renasanz gives the art-form as a whole a little something to look forward to. At a time when the “game†seems to be congested with the same-ol’-same, Renasanz delivers the anti-histamine.
Now don’t get me wrong, he’s not your typical backpackin’ conscious rapper. Renasanz has not at all strayed from the raw street element that has made Hip-hop what it is today, but he is determined to filter out the leeches that have milked mother Hip-Hop for way too long.
Frankly, it’s his level of artistic creativity and authentic affinity for the culture that will elevate Renasanz into Hip-Hop royalty. One of his recent tracks titled “The Interview†places Renasanz on a television panel where he is interviewed by the host and questioned by a live studio audience gracefully answering all their inquiries. It’s these types of song concepts that separate Renasanz from his peers and really add to the listening experience from intro to outro.
